CREATIVE JOURNEY

VISION

Our vision is to promote Christian music and to enrich congregational worship across all ages. CJ is devoted to fulfil both the cultural and evangelical aspects of the Great Mission, by effectively promoting and elevating worship in local churches and by expressing our beliefs in Christ through the beauty and spirit of music. We believe our ministry would help bring churches a deeper appreciation of Christ, and that through songs and singing it may also help us bear witness to the Triune God.

MISSION

The mission is to join forces with local Christians to inherit and fulfil both the cultural and the evangelical aspects of the Great Mission, enabling all Christians to worship together and follow our Lord’s path earnestly. The nature of this organisation can be defined with the following aspects:

1. Worship: working alongside the local churches to effectively promote education and training aspects of worship and other related ministries.

2. Music: through the beauty and spirit of music, we can express our beliefs. Music allows us to convey God’s words to others and also to experience the Truth of God.

CREATIVE JOURNEY

CHORALE

The Creative Journey (CJ) Chorale was first established by the Creative Journey Trust in 2009. The CJ Chorale is made up of Christians from many Chinese churches throughout Auckland. Central to each member is the belief that: "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called......

YOUNG VOICES

The CJ Young Voices is a children’s choir (ages 7 to 15.) We are passionate in enriching our children in sacred music, classical music and many other repertoires through the culture of choir singing.

CHIMES

In 2016 the Creative Journey Chimes Group was established, where the members learn to worship God with this instrument. Not only do they receive spiritual nourishment through music, they also learn to play their part and work together as a team.

Peter Koi Peng Chung

Tenor

Peter graduated from Singapore Bible College School
of Church Music before acquiring his Masters degree in Music (major in voice) at the University of Melbourne. He is currently the Artistic & Executive Director of Creative Journey, and serves part-time at ACMC Salvation Church as Worship and Music pastor.

Meiying Lau

Conductor

Meiying graduated from Singapore Bible College School of Church Music, applying herself as a church conductor for children and adult choirs. She works as the conductor of Creative Journey Ministry.

BIBLE SEMINAR

In line with the constant pursuit of "to know Him and to make Him known", CJ has teamed up with Dr. Samuel Ling to hold this series of Biblical seminars usually on an annual basis.
